Honestly until tonight I had you written off along with JD, Jessica and Suzie. You showed a new facet of your voice, although that genre doesnt excite me, that was extremely soulful and powerful. I have a feeling that because this was so different to what your used to singing, you were more self concious than you should have been. Unfortunately you may have unjustly signed your way into the bottom three because they televised these comments (well they did here in Australia). Anyway keep up your chops and best of luck! Your new found supporter :)

Please stop second guessing yourself onstage. You have a vocal quality that is earthy, smoky - and moving. Please do the vocal coaching to maintain what you have.

You did such an amazing job with "I Can't Make You Love Me" tonight.

I relate to you as a singer in a few ways, and would like to encourage you to pursue vocal coaching.
Here's why: What I saw tonight was a singer totally focused on technique tonight. It seemed that you were thinking about breath control. That happens to the best of us. In my younger days, I had a similar voice to yours. What I've learned is what age does to that voice. It is through technique, as was pointed out in your vocal clinic, that one is able to continue singing throughout the years. Learn more about breath control, bring the voice forward, and work that higher register and through the break that I suspect is definite in your voice. This, in turn, will free you up to do what you do in your range even better! And it will allow you to do so for decades to come.

You've done an amazing job. And to be in the top eight is a great accomplishment.
I have no doubt that you'll do well and that you've got a future in music.

But I urge you to protect your voice by doing those vocal exercises we all hate and pursuing vocal coaching.
From one who let it go and pays for it now, trust me, it'll only make you better at what you do so well.
And it'll allow you to sing well much longer.

Again, GREAT job on "I Can't Make You Love Me".

Okay, this might seem like a wierd comment to make, I've not been following this at all * hangs head in shame * but as I was going to update my own space on here, I couldn't help but notice the last name. Ironically, it's the same as my maiden name. Quite a common name I know, but it would be rather interesting to find out if at all we are related via marriage somehow.
